Digital Content Manager - Ref: WA289

Westminster Abbey, a royal church offering daily worship enriched by a world-class choral foundation, and a World Heritage Site with over a thousand years of history, is seeking a theologically and liturgically informed colleague, with experience and understanding of the Anglican choral tradition, to join the Minor Canons’ Department as a Digital Content Manager. The successful applicant will have a key role in sharing the riches of the Abbey’s liturgical life, and in allowing its theological voice to be heard across a variety of digital channels.

Closing date Tuesday, 19th March 2024 at 12.00 PM

Full time – Permanent

(40 hours per week)

 Salary: Up to £51,000 per annum

By working in close collaboration with colleagues in the Minor Canons, Music and Communications & Digital Departments, this role will help us to identify opportunities to create high-quality and engaging content that will enhance the Abbey’s digital presence.

Visitor Experience Assistant (5 posts) - Ref: WA287

Westminster Abbey is a royal church offering daily services for all and a World Heritage Site with over a thousand years of history. To support our visitor operation during the busy summer season, we are looking to recruit 5 Visitor Experience Assistants.

You will be responsible for welcoming visitors and working on our multimedia operation, offering guides to visitors, and helping to collect them at the end of their visit. You will also ensure that media guides are not removed from the Abbey and that they are cleaned and charged appropriately, checked for any faults and that they are ready for the start of each day.

The role will offer the right candidate a range of staff benefits, including staff discount on purchases from the Westminster Abbey shop and a discount on purchases from the Benugo outlets.

Working within the Visitor Experience team, you will be helping to provide a warm and friendly welcome to all worshippers and visitors to the Abbey.

You will have a positive and flexible approach, and be able to show evidence of a commitment to delivering great customer service and of anticipating and responding to customer needs. You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to take and follow instructions.
