Senior Beadle (Supervisor) - Ref: WA211
The Security Department is seeking to recruit a Senior Beadle, which is a supervisory level role that will require you to work in the team on a rota basis, ensuring the safety and security of the Abbey site for visitors, worshippers, pupils and residents on a 24-hour basis.

You will utilise your previous experience of security team supervision to supervise and support the onsite Security Beadles, acting as the initial point of contact for all enquiries that arise, and site supervision. As a line manager, you will facilitate return to work meetings following staff absence and ensure that attendance (including holiday and sickness) is accurately updated on the employee database in a timely manner for both your direct reports and the wider team of Security Beadles. You will also provide professional support and assistance to the Deputy Head of Security and deputise for him when required.
You will hold a security qualification, minimum of BTEC Level 3 in Security Management, or relevant equivalent, such as police/military. You will also have excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to be persuasive, firmly polite, and able to deal with critical incidents under pressure in a calm manner when required.

Facilities Attendant (part time) - Ref: WA212 (2 posts)
Westminster Abbey is looking to recruit a Facilities Attendant to keep the Abbey and precincts clean, and to set up and clear seating for services and special events in and around the Abbey.
Part time, Permanent (20 hours)
Salary: £12,539.10 per annum (FTE £25,078.20 per annum)

Working as part of the Visitor Experience team, the role also provides porter-type assistance within the Abbey precincts, and plays a crucial part in keeping the Abbey clean and tidy for all who visit, work and volunteer here.
The job involves a large amount of lifting, as well as working both inside and outside. The successful post holder must have knowledge of cleaning techniques and products, and also be able to work effectively as part of a team and on their own

Marshal (6 posts) - Ref: WA213
Westminster Abbey is looking to appoint six part time fixed term Abbey Marshals to work with us during the busy summer period. Working within the Visitor Experience Team, you will be helping to provide a warm and friendly welcome to all worshippers and visitors to the Abbey.

Fixed term - part time
(32 hours per week)
Salary: £23,165.12 per annum
(FTE 28,956.40 per annum)

You will have a positive and flexible approach, and be able to show evidence of a commitment to delivering great customer service and of anticipating and responding to customer needs. You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and to take and follow instructions.
Your contracted hours will be worked on a five-day rota basis that incorporates weekend and bank holiday working.
