Director of Music - St Margaret’s Church
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Westminster Abbey as we seek to appoint a new Director of Music at St Margaret’s.
You will be responsible for the provision of music to the highest standard of excellence at all statutory and special services held in St Margaret’s, and for any other musical events held in St Margaret’s with the agreement of the Rector.
The Director of Music will be responsible for the provision of music in St Margaret’s, in consultation with the Rector and the Organist and Master of the Choristers, on behalf of the Dean and Chapter.
Your skills and knowledge will include the following:
• You will hold a BA/BMus or higher degree in music or equivalent
• You will have excellent written, electronic and oral communication skills, especially in relation to choir families, professional adult singers, school staff, clergy and members of the congregation
• You will be sympathetic to the Christian faith and will understand the Christian and normatively Anglican pattern of worship followed at St Margaret’s and the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft
• You will have proven experience of successfully managing administrative staff and where appropriate liaising with the Human Resources Department
• It is essential that you have proven experience of working within a church/cathedral setting

IT Network Engineer
Full Time (40 hours) - Permanent
Salary £39,000 per annum
Westminster Abbey is seeking to appoint an IT Network Engineer to be responsible for the management of the Abbey’s computer network, Choir School network and manage the Abbey’s telephone system.
You will also deal with help desk requests, including user training, out of hours cover and liaising with contractors and external support companies.

Human Resources Advisor - Maternity Cover
Full Time (40 hours)
Salary £32,062.56 per annum
Westminster Abbey is seeking to recruit an experienced and CIPD qualified (Level 5) HR Advisor to cover a period of maternity leave for approximately 6 – 9 months, subject to the earlier return of the substantive postholder.

You will provide a proactive and professional HR service to around 350 Abbey employees, who occupy a vast range of interesting and unique job roles within this Royal Peculiar.
Located within a rewarding and worthwhile church setting, you will deliver first line HR support to staff, managers and volunteers, who are passionate about the Abbey and its mission. The Abbey is an excellent place to work and values the contributions of both our staff and volunteers.
If you can offer proficient IT skills, generalist HR expertise and experience of using relevant systems, policies and procedures to produce HR metrics, support managers with employee relations, contribute to payroll, plan recruitment campaigns and advise managers on performance management and absence management, we will seek to support your interests and aspirations as you continue to develop within the HR profession.
