The Abbey remains open for worship and you are welcome to join us at our daily Eucharist service if you are able to travel here safely within current government guidelines.
However, for the time being we are unable to open the Abbey and St Margaret’s Church for general visiting.
Westminster Abbey offers a wealth of great learning experiences for schools. Although it may be difficult for you to visit this autumn term, we are taking for bookings from January 2021 onwards and will still be running out special event weeks in 2021.
A school visit is a great way to discover Westminster Abbey. We offer guided tours, workshops, self-led visits, outreach, and video-conferencing. We’ve developed these activities to cover topics on the National Curriculum from EYFS to Key Stage 5, including subjects such as RE, History, English, STEM, and the arts.
Westminster Abbey won the award for Best Venue for History Learning at the School
Travel Awards 2019/20. Organised by School Travel Organiser magazine, the awards recognise
those in the education sector who excel in providing exciting and educational trips for
Primary and Secondary schools.
