The successful candidate will work with the Minor Canon and Precentor in a prominent role, sustaining and organising the busy worshipping life of Westminster Abbey, liaising effectively and diplomatically with diverse constituencies within the Abbey and among its many high-profile external partners.

Essential to this role is the ability to lead choral worship; the appointment process will therefore include a singing test before shortlisting for the final interview. This will take place in week commencing 17 May 2021.

The post is open to priests of the Church of England, or of a Church in communion therewith, with at least three years’ experience of full-time stipendiary ministry.  You will be working in a happy environment with gifted colleagues.  To thrive in this environment, you will need to be highly motivated, resilient and committed to sharing responsibility.

For an informal conversation about this post, please call The Reverend Mark Birch on 020 7654 4968.  Application Packs are available from the Westminster Abbey website www.westminster-abbey.org/job-vacancies/current-vacancies

Your application must be received no later than 9.00 am on Monday 10 May 2021.

Final interviews will take place on Monday, 7 June 2021.
