Assistant to the Minor Canons

Westminster Abbey is seeking an Assistant to support the Minor Canons of Westminster.

Closing date Friday, 28th January 2022 at 12.00 PM

Permanent 

Full Time (40 hours per week)

Salary: £34,377 per annum

Ref: WA124

You will assist the Minor Canons of Westminster in the administration necessary for religious services within the precincts of the Abbey, with a particular focus on special services and liaising with visiting choirs. You will also prepare service materials (orders of service, ceremonial notes and others) under the guidance of the Minor Canons and in collaboration with the other Assistant. The role also involves managing the printing of service materials, both in the office, and in liaison with an external printer, as well as maintaining office supplies and equipment.

In order to apply for the role, you will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a discipline where producing written work with a precise focus on attention to detail is a key requirement. You will also have an interest in liturgy and church music, as well as the ability to work consistently to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
