The ashes of Rudyard Kipling, poet and writer, were buried in Poets' Corner at noon on 23rd January 1936. His books include The Jungle Book.

The ashes of poet and novelist John Masefield were buried in Poets’ Corner on 20th June 1967. The grave adjoins that of Robert Browning.

A stained glass window in Poets' Corner is a memorial to Edward Hubbard, Birkenhead-born architectural historian who championed the campaign to restore Liverpool's Albert Dock.

Westminster Abbey takes part in Cathedrals at Night
Friday, 28th February 2020
The Abbey will be open from 4.30pm - 7.00pm (last entry at 6.00pm) as part of Cathedrals at Night, a project that will see all 42 Church of England cathedrals, as well as the cathedrals in Wales and the Isle of Man, open their doors free of charge.

In 1966 a memorial to the early Christian poet Caedmon was unveiled in Poets' Corner. This famous Northumbrian poet died around the year A.D. 680.
