Worship & music

Westminster Abbey has been a place of worship since at least the tenth century. We hold services here every day and you are welcome to join us.

We produce transcripts as well as video and audio recordings of sermons our clergy and guest preachers have given at recent Abbey services.

They deal with current theological issues, religion and world events, and the interpretation of biblical texts.

The Reverend Mark Birch discusses themes of justice and forgiveness

Zacchaeus was the last person to deserve the attention, let alone the company of Jesus, yet he was the one called to offer hospitality. In this sermon, themes of justice and forgiveness are explored, and the way Divine forgiveness can sometimes seem offensive to those who try hard, and want life to be fair.

This sermon was a part of Sung Eucharist, 30 October 2022.
