John and Eleanor Panton

John Panton was buried on 13th March 1619 in the "long aisle on the south side" (ie. south ambulatory) of Westminster Abbey but nothing marks his grave. He owned lands in Wales. His wife Eleanor was buried on 27th November 1619. She was the daughter of Sir William Booth and his wife Elizabeth (Warburton) and sister of Sir George Booth, 1st Baronet of Dunham Massey, ancestor of the Earls of Warrington. Their children were Anne, Alathea and Ellinor. In her will her sister Alice was to have custody of her two surviving children.
