Westminster Abbey and Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Public worship will resume in the Abbey from 3rd December, and we will be open for visiting on selected days from 11th December.

In the meantime, the Abbey remains open for individual prayer and you are welcome to visit at the following times:

Monday - Saturday: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Sunday: 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Entry times and opening hours

We close for visiting one hour after last entry.

You are welcome to visit us for individual prayer at the following times:

Entry is via the Great West Door.

There is no charge for private prayer at Westminster Abbey.

Be sure to check service times before your visit and use the Great West Door entrance of the Abbey. We do not charge for attending a daily service. Check our coronavirus page for more information about visiting us at this time.

We welcome serving clergy in the UK to the Abbey without charge during visiting hours.

Please use the Great West Door entrance.

We offer free admission for residents of the City of Westminster, using the City Save card.

Please visit Westminster City Save for full terms and conditions.

Be sure to bring your City Save card with you when you visit us.

Entry is granted to Westminster City Save card holders on a space-available basis, depending on capacity within the Abbey. Card holders will need to present their City Save card on entry and will be asked to provide contact details for NHS Test & Trace.

We offer free entry to UK Armed Forces personnel and up to 4 family members, on production of valid ID.
