Westminster Abbey and Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Abbey will re-open for sightseeing visitors from Friday 21st May.

In the meantime, we remain open for worship and you are welcome to join us at our daily services. We are also open for individual prayer from 10:00am - 3:00pm, Monday to Saturday.

Mena Lee Griffiths

Mena Lee Griffiths was a generous benefactor to the Westminster Abbey restoration appeal which culminated in the cleaning of Henry VII's Lady Chapel.

An enamelled copper plaque in the vestibule of this chapel records her name with the text:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil.4:13.

The plaques were designed by Donald Buttress and painted by Kenneth Breese in 1999.
