Hans and Adolf Heinzeller
The Abbey’s crib figures were carved in limewood by Hans and Adolf Heinzeller in Oberammergau, Germany. They were designed by the Abbey's Sacrist Christopher Hildyard.

In the Dark cloister area, leading to the Little Cloister, is a wall tablet to James William Dodd. He was buried in the east cloister.

The Christmas Crib figures at Westminster Abbey were carved at Oberammergau in 1965.

Sir Walter Tapper
Architect
In the west cloister is the grave of Sir Walter Tapper, architect. The Lady Chapel’s altar was designed by him shortly before his death.

College Hall
This is the oldest continuously used dining room in London. It was finished in 1376. Today it is the main dining hall for Westminster School.

Chapter House
The "incomparable" 13th century Chapter House in the East Cloister was a daily meeting place for the monks and contains many mural paintings.

Cheyneygates
These are two rooms over the entrance to the cloisters, originally part of Nicholas Litlyngton's rebuilidng of the Abbot's house complex in the 14th century.

Stephen Dykes Bower
Architect
The ashes of Stephen Dykes Bower, Surveyor of the Fabric of Westminster Abbey from 1951-1973, are buried in the Islip chapel.
