Sir John Cutler

Sir John Cutler, 1607-1693, of Tothill Street Westminster was buried in the middle chancel of St Margaret's church Westminster on 28th April 1693. But he has no monument or surviving gravestone.

He was the second son of Edward Cutler and his wife Jane and was a Member of Parliament for Taunton and for Bodmin. He was also a merchant and member of the Grocers Company. His first wife was Elizabeth Foote daughter of Thomas Foote, Lord Mayor of London. Their daughter Elizabeth married Sir William Portman. Alicia Tipping was his second wife by whom he had one daughter Elizabeth who married Charles B. Robartes 2nd Earl of Radnor. In 1660 he was knighted.
