Elizabeth, Lady Latimer

Elizabeth, wife of Edward Osborne, Viscount Latimer, was buried in Westminster Abbey on 5th May 1680 together with her daughter Lady Grace. But the location is unknown and nothing marks her grave. Her infant son Thomas had been buried in the Abbey on 29th December 1676.

She was the eldest daughter of Simon Bennett of Beachampton in Buckinghamshire and his wife Grace (Morewood). She married Edward, who was a Member of Parliament, at St Bartholomew the Less in London on 20th October 1649. They had no other children. Edward (died 1689) was a son of Sir Thomas Osborne, 1st Duke of Leeds, and brother of Peregrine, also an M.P. (who became 2nd Duke of Leeds). He was also a Gentleman of the Bedchamber to the King.
