Every window has a story to tell. Gaze at pieces of glasswork by world-famous artists and anonymous craftsman on this special guided tour.
Explore the history of the Abbey through its beautiful stained and coloured glass windows and unpick the stories they tell about faith and memory.
On this special tour, spend time looking up at the decorative windows in Westminster Abbey and the neighbouring St Margaret’s Church. This tour will include:
- St Margaret's Church, a Tudor building filled with windows old and new
- The Hockney Window, the Abbey’s latest vibrant installation
- The Lady Chapel, a colourful space filled with history
- Poets’ Corner, where famous creatives are remembered
- The Cloisters, fragments of historic glass are brought together
- Chapter House, a striking example of post-war creativity

Ticketing information
There is a maximum of 15 people per tour. This tour is 60 minutes long.
This tour will take you through Westminster Abbey and it will conclude at the end of the visitor route.
This event does not include self-guided entry to Westminster Abbey. If you'd like to also book a self-guided ticket, we recommend looking at the Visit us pages to plan a visit during opening hours.

Meeting location
This event will meet on the North Green of Westminster Abbey.
Access and security
Please have your ticket ready to show our staff (either printed or on your mobile phone).
On your arrival, your bag will be searched and we ask you not to bring any large items with you (for example suitcases, large backpacks or folding bicycles) as these will not be allowed inside and we are unable to store them for you.
The Abbey has uneven floors and parts of the tour may only be accessible up a flight of steps.
