Charles II
Charles' coronation took place on 23rd April 1661. He was buried in the Abbey on 14th February 1685 in a vault in Henry VII's chapel.

Writer and Poet
John Milton, poet and writer, died in 1674 but his memorial in Poet's Corner was not erected until 1737. He has a memorial window in St Margaret's church.

Herbert Thorndike, priest, was buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey with his brother John. There is no marked gravestone to see.

In the north choir aisle is a large memorial to Dr Hugh Chamberlen. It consists of marbles with an effigy of Hugh in doctor's gown.
