Richard Cox, D.D. was Dean of Westminster from 1549-1553 but he has no memorial at the Abbey and is buried at Ely Cathedral.

Dr Hugh Weston was Dean of Westminster from 1553 to 1556 when he resigned due to the re-founding of the Benedictine monastery by Mary I.

Richard Steward was nominated Dean of Westminster but he followed the future Charles II into exile during the English Civil War so was never installed.

The ashes of former Dean of Westminster Eric Symes Abbott are buried in the nave near the altar there, with a portland stone tablet.

The ashes of Dr Edward Frederick Carpenter K.C.V.O., a much loved Dean of Westminster, are buried in the nave near the graves of his predecessors.

Dr Theodore Price, prebendary and Sub-Dean of Westminster, died on 15th December 1631 (apparently as a Roman Catholic) and was buried in the south transept.

Nicholas Oudart was buried in the west cloister on 21st December 1681 but has no marker. He was born at Malines (Mechlin) in Belgium.

The 9th Earl of Elgin presented three red porphyry discs to be inserted in the new High Altar floor, which imitated the ancient floor design.

The ashes of Dr (Arthur) Wesley Carr, KCVO, Dean of Westminster from 1997-2006, were buried in the nave of Westminster Abbey on 24th April 2018.
