Westminster Abbey has been the coronation church since 1066. This 17-minute video explores what happens in a coronation through a range of fun and engaging segments including: investigating objects; visiting different places; storytelling; quizzes and games; and art and craft activities.
This resource might be particularly useful in teaching topics including ‘Monarchs’ and ‘Kings and queens’.

This video was originally released in the weeks leading up to the coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla on 6th May 2023. This is the third video in a series of three. You might also choose to watch the first and second videos.
