Meet the team
We’re transforming the welcome we offer to the millions of people who come to the Abbey to enjoy one of the world’s great churches. A new building – to be named The King Charles III Sacristy in honour of HM The King – will be constructed to house state-of-the-art welcome, security and ticketing facilities, allowing the Abbey itself to be preserved in all its beauty and wonder as a sacred space.

Home educated groups
Home educators are welcome to visit as individuals or as part of a home educated group with other families. Bookings can be made for a self-led visit or a guided tour.

Poet Laureates
Curator Dr Susan Jenkins shares more about the lives and poetry of nine Poet Laureates who are buried or memorialised in Poets' Corner.

The President of the Republic of Poland visits Westminster Abbey
Thursday, 6th May 2004
As part of the State Visit to the UK, His Excellency, The President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Aleksander Kwasniewski and Madame Jolanta Kwasniewska visited Westminster Abbey on 6th May to lay a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.
