  Walk in the footsteps of Saint Edward the Confessor at Westminster Abbey

• John and Edward Tufnell

  John Tufnell and his son Edward were both master masons at Westminster Abbey and are buried in the south cloister.

• Princess Mary, daughter of George V

  Princess Mary was the only daughter of George V and Queen Mary. On 28th February 1922 she married Henry, Viscount Lascelles in Westminster Abbey.

  Politician, Historian and Diplomat

  Various members of Edward Hyde, Earl of Clarendon's family are buried with him in a vault in the north ambulatory, near Henry VII's chapel.

  A large white marble monument to Elizabeth, Duchess of Northumberland stands in this chapel. This was designed by Robert Adam and sculpted by Nicholas Read.

  Reverend Dr Edward Gee, author, was buried in Westminster Abbey on 6th March 1730 "within the north gate of the tombs", presumably the north ambulatory.

  Wilfred Thomas Edwards was a generous benefactor to the Westminster Abbey restoration appeal which culminated in the cleaning of Henry VII's Lady Chapel in 1995.

  In the south transept is a memorial to Sir Thomas Robinson, architect, and his wife Elizabeth, Lady Lechmere. The monument incorporates two busts.

  Reverend Edward Grant was a prebendary of Westminster from 1577-1601, Sub-Dean, and Head Master of Westminster School 1572-1593. He was buried in the north transept.

• Edward Glanvill

  Edward Glanvill was buried in the south cloister of Westminster Abbey, adjoining the stone to William Shield. The stone is a little faint.

  Edward Talbot, 8th Earl of Shrewsbury, was buried in St Edmund's chapel in Westminster Abbey. His wife Jane erected a large monument for him.

  In the south transept is a monument of marble, erected in 1746, to the memory of Sir Edward, Robert Atkyns and members of the family.

  The ashes of Dr Edward Frederick Carpenter K.C.V.O., a much loved Dean of Westminster, are buried in the nave near the graves of his predecessors.

  In the chapel of St John the Baptist there is a monument to Colonel Edward Popham, naval and army officer, and his wife Anne.
