  • Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales

    Henry Frederick was the eldest son of James I. He died suddenly in 1612 and his funeral was held at Westminster Abbey on 7th December.

    Priest/Minister

    Dr Theodore Price, prebendary and Sub-Dean of Westminster, died on 15th December 1631 (apparently as a Roman Catholic) and was buried in the south transept.

    Anne Mowbray, Duchess of York, was married to Richard, Duke of York, son of Edward IV when both were children. She was buried at the Abbey.

  • Richard II and Anne of Bohemia

    Richard was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 16th July 1377 aged 10. He married Anne of Bohemia in January 1382 and both are buried in the Abbey. His portrait hangs in the nave.

  • James I and Anne of Denmark

    James I and Anne of Denmark are both buried in Westminster Abbey. But neither has a monument. Their funeral effigies still remain in the Abbey collection.

  • Anne (Stanhope), Duchess of Somerset & Jane Seymour

    Anne Stanhope, Duchess of Somerset is buried in St Nicholas' chapel. In the chapel of St Edmund is a monument to her daughter Lady Jane.

  • Queen Anne

    Anne was crowned in the Abbey on 23rd April 1702. She is buried with her husband Prince George of Denmark in a vault in the Lady Chapel.

    Anne Wemyss (or Wemis) was buried in the east cloister. A small oval white marble tablet was erected for her in the south choir aisle.

    Prince William is the eldest son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. He married Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey in 2011.
