Christopher Teesdale

Colonel Christopher Teesdale and his son Lt. Colonel Christopher Teesdale were both buried in the churchyard of St Margaret's church Westminster. The flat gravestones in the yard were all grassed over in 1880 but remaining inscriptions were copied into a volume now kept in the Westminster Abbey archives.

Their grave was a few yards west of the porch of the church and the stone read:

Sacred to the memory of Christopher Teesdale Esquire Lieutenant Colonel of the Sussex Light Dragoons and eldest son of Colonel Teesdale of College Street, Westminster. Born the 16th of April 1753. Died 20th July 1802 aged 43 years. Also the above Colonel Teesdale who died July the 8th 1805 aged 81 years
