The Coronation

To prepare for the Coronation of The King and Queen Consort we will be closed to visitors and worshippers from 25th April and will re-open on Monday 8th May. Services will take place in St Margaret's Church until Tuesday 2nd May.

Group visits

Visiting the Abbey in a group is a wonderful day out. We welcome private tour groups as well as groups from schools or universities throughout the year.

Current group visit arrangements

We currently welcome guided tour groups of up to 20 visitors when accompanied by a Blue Badge Tourist Guide.

Blue Badge Tourist Guides offer specialist, private tours in more than 30 languages and will charge a separate fee.

Adults - £24
Adults aged 65+ and students - £20
Children (6-17 years) - £10

Visitors tend to book a Blue Badge Tourist Guide first. Unfortunately, you can’t book group tickets to the Abbey online – they must be purchased in person.

All entry is via the cloisters, which you can access via Dean's Yard.

UK Primary and Secondary Schools

From September, our learning department will be offering a range of video-conferences and guided virtual tours. Workshops, guided tours and special events for schools will be offered at the Abbey from January 2021.
