Lady Mary Biddulph

Lady Mary Biddulph was buried in the north aisle of Westminster Abbey on 15th September 1689 "near Sir Edward Spragge". It is thought this was the north ambulatory but neither has any marker or monument.

She was the daughter of Colonel Roger Whitley and his wife Charlotte (who was buried here on 18th October 1662) daughter of Sir Charles Gerard. On 31st December 1678 she married Michael, eldest son of Sir Theophilus Biddulph, M.P. 1st Baronet of Westcombe in Greenwich, Kent and his wife Susanna (Highlord). Sir Michael succeeded as 2nd Baronet and died in 1718 (having married secondly Elizabeth D'Oyley).
