Aldam and John Frame

Aldam Frame (or Freame as he gave it in his will) was gardener and keeper of the orchards at Westminster Abbey from 1633-1644. He married Anne Stretton at St Margaret's Church, Westminster on 24th June 1639. She was buried in the south cloister on 12th August 1644. A son Aldom was baptised at St Margaret's on 30th August 1644 so she may have died in childbirth. Aldam senior was buried with her on 3rd March 1645.

John Frame, possibly a brother or other relation, was gardener and gravemaker at the Abbey from 1649-1662 and was buried in the south cloister on 24th January 1662. His wife was buried with him (no name known) in the following month. Their children were Anne, John, Emme and Edward and the Dean and Chapter of Westminster gave some money to support the youngest children.

No inscriptions on gravestones were recorded for any of this family.
