Mary, Countess of Kent

Mary, Countess of Kent was buried in St Paul's chapel in Westminster Abbey on 20th March 1644 but nothing marks her grave. She was the daughter of Sir William Courteen and his wife Hester (Tryon) and was baptised at the Dutch church in London on 30th July 1609.

She was first wife of Henry Grey, 10th Earl of Kent. They married at Clapham on 14th October 1641. Their only child Henry, Lord Grey was buried on 20th June 1644. The Earl re-married and died in 1651.
