A podcast for Candlemas

Today’s episode of Abbeycast, A podcast for Candlemas, was recorded this week in the Abbey’s magnificent Lady Chapel.

The podcast is led by the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, Dean of Westminster, with an address by the Reverend Mark Birch, Minor Canon and Precentor. Janet Hoyle reads Luke 2: 22-40.

Charles Villiers Stanford’s, Nunc Dimittis in A, sung by the Abbey Choir and conducted by James O’Donnell, Organist and Master of the Choristers, is supplied by the Choir’s record label, Hyperion.

Episodes of Abbeycast are being released to mark Feast Days and special anniversaries. Those wanting to be kept up to date with new releases can subscribe.

During this lockdown period, the Abbey remains open for worship. Please check our service times page for details, and for information about how to visit us safely.
