  • Abbey extends links with local community

    Westminster Abbey is continuing its work in the local community by running a work placement scheme in partnership with the Cardinal Hume Centre.

  • New Tower for Westminster Abbey

    Westminster Abbey has been granted planning permission by Westminster City Council to build a new stair and lift tower at the east end of the church. The tower will enable public access for the first time to the Abbey's eastern Triforium, an elevated internal gallery, which is to be transformed into a new museum and exhibition space: The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries. This will be the most significant addition to the building since Nicholas Hawksmoor's iconic west towers were completed in 1745.

  • Concert: Mozart Mass in C Minor

    Tuesday, 17th June 2025

    The Choir of Westminster Abbey is joined by Britten Sinfonia for this performance of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor. Members of the Abbey Choir, soprano Ailish Tynan and mezzo soprano Katie Coventry sing the solo parts in this glorious missa solemnis.
