    Dona Nobis Pacem: A Concert for Ukraine, will take place in St Margaret’s Church on Tuesday 10th May at 7.00pm to raise funds in support of the DEC’s (Disasters Emergency Committee) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

    On a pillar in St Margaret's church is a marble cartouche for master carpenter John Churchill. He served the King and later Queen Anne.

  • Festival of Saint Cecilia service held at Westminster Abbey

    The Festival of St Cecilia service was held at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday 24th November 2010. The choirs of Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Cathedral came together to sing the premiere of an anthem specially commissioned by the Musicians Benevolent Fund with the help of the RVW Trust: ‘Vast Ocean of Light’, by Jonathan Dove.

    Sir John Salisbury, one of the knights of the chamber of King Richard II, is buried in St John the Baptist's chapel in Westminster Abbey.

    John Carey, 2nd Earl of Dover, Viscount Rochford and Baron Hunsdon, was buried in the Carey family vault in St John the Baptist's chapel.

    The west window of Henry VII's Lady Chapel especially honours Sir John Marks Templeton (1912-2008), a very generous benefactor to the restoration of this chapel.

  • Sir John Ogle & son

    Lt. Colonel Sir John Ogle was buried in the Abbey on 17th March 1640. He was the fifth son of Thomas and his wife Jane.

    In the west cloister of Westminster Abbey is the grave of John Willis, Abbey carpenter, his son Edward and niece Ann.

  • John and Mary Richbell

    John Richbell and his sister Mary are buried in the centre part of the north transept but the inscription has now worn away.

  • Sir John Shorditch

    Sir John Shorditch was buried in St Benedict's chapel in 1345. His grave may be that which is now beneath Dr William Bill’s tomb chest.

    In the west cloister is a white marble tablet to John and Avis Freeman. Called "Honest Brother Freeman" he was a member of the Abbey.

  • John and Paul Methuen

    John and Paul Methuen have a joint memorial in the south choir aisle of Westminster Abbey. John was the eldest son of Paul Methuen (d.1667).
