  Francis Hughes, well known opera singer of his day, was buried on 21st March 1744 in the west cloister but has no marker.

  Colin Williams (1942-2015) was an Abbey Honorary Steward (from 1992-2012) and a generous donor to the appeal for the restoration of Henry VII's chapel.

• Lady Ann Walpole

  Lady Ann Walpole was buried in St Andrew's chapel on 16 August 1722 but she has no marker. She was a daughter of Thomas Osborne.

• Sir Richard Price

  Sir Richard Price or Pryse was buried in St Paul's chapel but nothing marks his grave. He was the eldest son of Sir John Pryse.

• Hammond Witherley

  Musician

  Hammond Witherley, singer, was buried on 4th October 1717 in the west cloister of Westminster Abbey. No gravestone seems to have been inscribed for him.

• Nicholas Assheton

  The ashes of the Hon. Nicholas Assheton were buried in the Islip chapel on 15th March 2013. He was Chief Honorary Steward from 2002-2006.

  Elizabeth Woodville is buried with her husband King Edward IV at St George's chapel, Windsor, but she took Sanctuary at Westminster Abbey on two occasions.

  Robert Devereux, 3rd Earl of Essex is buried in St John the Baptist's chapel in Westminster Abbey. He was born on 11th January 1591.

  On the west wall of Poets' Corner is a monument to the famous actor David Garrick, not far from his grave. By H. Webber.

• John Troutbeck

  Priest/Minister

  The Reverend Dr John Troutbeck, Minor Canon of Westminster 1869-1899, was buried in the East Cloister. He was a son of George Troutbeck of Penrith.

• Abraham Cowley

  Poet

  In Poets' Corner is a monument to poet Abraham Cowley. It consists of an oval panel on a pedestal with a large wreathed urn above.

• Edmund Spenser

  Poet

  On the south wall of Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey is a marble memorial to Edmund Spenser, poet and author of The Faerie Queene.

• Elizabeth Gibbons, Countess of Home

  Elizabeth Gibbons, Countess Dowager of Home, was buried in a vault in St John the Baptist's chapel on 23rd January 1784 aged 80.

• John Shepherd

  Musician and Composer

  John Shepherd, singer and composer, died in 1558 and was buried at St Margaret's Westminster. He has no marker or memorial.

• Lord Heywood

  Lord Heywood of Whitehall, head of the civil service, has a stone in the East Cloister of Westminster Abbey. He died in 2018.

• Henry Cooke

  Musician, Soldier and Composer

  Henry Cooke, composer and singer, was buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey on 17th July 1672. No gravestone inscription was recorded for him.

• William Pitt and family

  Statesman

  William Pitt the Elder and his son are buried in the north transept of Westminster Abbey. His wax effigy is on display in the triforium.

• Ezekiel Spanheim

  Statesman

  Ezekiel, Baron Spanheim was buried in St Paul's chapel. He was Ambassador Extraordinary from the King of Prussia to the Queen of Great Britain.
