  A stone tablet to United States President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was unveiled at Westminster Abbey on 12th November 1948, near the memorial to Winston Churchill.

  In the north ambulatory is a large monument of grey and white marble to Rear Admiral Charles Holmes. This shows the admiral in Roman armour.

  On the south wall of St Margaret's is a tablet, with a head in relief, to the memory of Hugh Arnold-Forster, politician, lawyer and author.

  John Woodward, physician, was buried in the nave on 1st May 1728. His family origins are not known. He was taught by Charles II's physician.

  In the south choir aisle is a memorial to William Wragg. The inscription reads: Sacred to the memory of William Wragg Esqr. of South Carolina.

  Field Marshal George Wade, famous for roads he built in Scotland, was buried in the centre aisle of the nave. His monument is by Roubiliac.

  The Reverend John Hay is buried in the south cloister. On the wall is a mural monument by the sculptor Michael Rysbrack.

  In the west aisle of the north transept is a monument to physician Sir Clifton Wintringham. This shows a mourning woman leaning on a sarcophagus.

  In St Margaret's Church, on the north wall, is a monument to Francis Egioke, near his grave. It consists of a kneeling figure in armour.

  A marble bust of physician Sir James Young Simpson is on the wall of St Andrew's chapel in Westminster Abbey (obscured by a large monument).
