Catherine, Lady St John of Bletso

Catherine, Lady St John of Bletso was buried in Westminster Abbey in March 1615. Her monument had originally shown her two children, Oliver and Anne.

St Margaret's Review Group appointed

The Dean and Chapter has announced the appointment of a St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey review group under the chairmanship of The Rt Hon The Baroness Butler-Sloss GBE.

Can we use our London Passes or Voucher?

Visiting the Abbey in a group is a wonderful day out. We welcome private tour groups as well as school and university groups all year.

Edward's church

In a chapel at the heart of Westminster Abbey is the Shrine of Edward the Confessor, king and saint.

Lady Wood

Mary was buried on 1st April 1665 but has no marker or monument. The location in the burial register says "near the Convocation door".

Lady Waldegrave

Mary, wife of James, 2nd Baron Waldegrave and later Earl Waldegrave, was buried in the middle aisle of the nave on 27th January 1719.
