  A memorial to the poet Philip Larkin CH CBE was dedicated in Poets’ Corner in the south transept of Westminster Abbey on Friday 2nd December 2016.

  Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall attended a service to celebrate the 750th anniversary of the re-building of Westminster Abbey today.

• Henry V and Catherine de Valois

  Henry’s tomb is below his elaborate chantry chapel in Westminster Abbey. His funeral armour and the effigy of his wife, Catherine de Valois, can be seen in the Abbey Galleries.

• John Feckenham (alias Howman)

  Abbot and Priest/Minister

  John Feckenham (alias Howman) was Abbot of Westminster from 1556-1559 but is not buried in the Abbey and he has no memorial.

• Mary, Lady Dudley and Lord Dudley

  Soldier

  In the south aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster is a large monument to Mary, wife of Edward Sutton, Lord Dudley. Both are buried in the church.

• Mary Queen of Scots

  Mary Queen of Scots is buried in a tomb erected by her son James I in the south aisle of the Lady Chapel, Westminster Abbey.

• Lionel Cranfield, Earl of Middlesex

  In St Benedict's chapel is a large tomb, with white marble effigies, to Lionel Cranfield, 1st Earl of Middlesex and his second wife Anne.

• Margaret Douglas, Countess of Lennox

  Margaret Douglas, Countess of Lennox, was buried, at the expense of Elizabeth I, in the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey.

• Francis Fitzmaurice, Earl of Kerry

  Francis Fitzmaurice, 3rd Earl of Kerry and his wife Anastasia are buried in St Andrew's chapel. He erected a large monument to his wife.

• Edward IV

  Edward IV was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 28th June 1461. His queen Elizabeth Woodville was crowned in 1465. Their infant daughter Margaret has a small monument in St Edward's chapel.

• James II

  James II was born on 14th October 1633. His coronation with his queen, Mary of Modena, took place at Westminster Abbey on 23rd April 1685.

• Richard III

  Richard III was crowned in the Abbey on 6th July 1483. Almost the entire peerage of England was present at what was a magnificent spectacle.

• Richard, Earl of Cornwall (later King of Germany)

  Soldier

  Richard, Earl of Cornwall is not buried in Westminster Abbey but his carved shield is displayed in the nave of the Abbey.

• Elizabeth Gaskell

  Writer and Novelist

  In 2010 a memorial to Elizabeth Gaskell, novelist and biographer, was dedicated in Poets' Corner in Westminster Abbey. It consists of a window panel.

• William Blake

  Artist and Poet

  In 1957 a larger than life size bronze bust by Epstein to the poet, painter and engraver William Blake was unveiled in Poets' Corner.

• Edmund Kyrton

  Abbot

  Edmund Kyrton or Kirton was Abbot of Westminster from 1440-1462. He is buried beneath a now lost brass in St Andrew's chapel Westminster Abbey.

• Peter Birch

  Priest/Minister

  Peter Birch, clergyman, and his wife Martha are buried in the south transept. Martha has a white marble Baroque wall tablet near Chaucer's tomb.

• William and Mary Bulmer

  William and Mary Bulmer and their son William are buried in the west cloister but their memorials perished long ago and the graves are unmarked.

• Antoine Philippe, Duc de Montpensier

  Antoine Philippe d'Orleans, Duc de Montpensier was buried in a vault in Henry VII's chapel in Westminster Abbey and has a monument there.

  Artist

  Sister Concordia Scott, Minster Abbey, sculpted the statue of the Virgin and Child in the niche of the Chapel of Our Lady of the Pew.
