In St Margaret's is a painted stone bust to Cornelius Van Dun who died in 1577. His wife Gylbarte was also buried in the church.

Mildred Cecil, Lady Burghley and her daughter Anne Vere, Countess of Oxford have a large monument in St Nicholas' chapel. Richard Cecil, Lord Burghley's father, is buried in St Margaret's Church.

Queen Elizabeth II's coronation was held at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. Her wedding to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, took place in 1947. Her funeral was held on 19th September 2022.
