HM The Queen attends King James Bible Service

Her Majesty The Queen accompanied by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales attended a service of celebration, in association with the King James Bible Trust, to mark the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday 16th November at 12 noon.

New research explores medieval Westminster's holy relics

Westminster Abbey is the burial place of Edward the Confessor, England's best-known royal saint. His body lies in a magnificent shrine at the heart of the Abbey as its major relic. But the medieval Abbey was also home to many other relics - the physical remains of saints, venerated by worshippers and pilgrims. These relics came to Westminster from across Europe and the Holy Land throughout the Middle Ages and were kept in sacred spaces around the church.
