  Colonel John Meldrum died of wounds received at the battle of Brandon. He was buried St Andrew's chapel but disinterred at the Restoration.

  The Lord Mayor of Westminster, The Lady Flight, attended a Service for the Traidcraft Justice Matters campaign at St Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey, at 6.00pm on Thursday 2nd July.

• John Coleman

  John Coleman was buried in the north cloister and has a plain marble tablet. Catherine Coleman, presumed to be his widow, was buried near him.

• John Laurence

  Soldier

  In the west cloister is a monument to John Laurence (Lawrence). This was originally in the south walk, where he was presumably buried, but was moved.

  Colonel John Davis was buried in the south aisle of the nave of Westminster Abbey on 16th December 1725. His gravestone is no longer readable.

  John Pym, politician in the time of Cromwell, died in 1643. He was buried in Westminster Abbey but his remains were exhumed at the Restoration.

  John Milton, poet and writer, died in 1674 but his memorial in Poet's Corner was not erected until 1737. He has a memorial window in St Margaret's church.
