  Walter Hungerford was buried in the south ambulatory of Westminster Abbey but has no marker. Sir Thomas Hungerford was buried in a chapel now destroyed.

  Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, politician, philanthropist and slave trade abolitionist, was born on 1st April 1786, eldest son of Thomas and Anna (Hanbury).

  In the north aisle of the nave is a monument to Thomas Livingstone, Viscount Teviot. He was buried near the entrance to the Quire.

  In the west cloister is a marble tablet with an urn in memory of Dr Thomas Sanders Dupuis, musician. He came from a Huguenot family.

  In St Margaret's church Westminster is a memorial tablet to Thomas, John and Lucia Maude. Also a war damaged brass to Hartwell Maude.

  William Wilberforce, MP, who took up the cause for the abolition of slavery was buried in the north transept. Samuel was Dean of Westminster and Basil was Archdeacon.

  Thomas. 1st Lord Wentworth, is buried in the chapel of St John the Evangelist. He seems never to have had a monument or gravestone.

  Thomas Persehouse (or Persehowse) and his son Humphrey were buried in the south cloister of Westminster Abbey. They have no markers.

  On the south wall of St Margaret's church Westminster is a memorial tablet to Richard Willis and members of his family.

  In the north ambulatory is the grave of Brian Duppa, Bishop of Winchester. His nephew, Sir Thomas Duppa, is buried in the north choir aisle.

  Oliver Cromwell, Lord Protector, was buried in Westminster Abbey following his death in 1658. However, he was exhumed after the Restoration.

  On 26th November 1695 Purcell was buried in the north aisle of the choir. This was where the organ stood at this time.

  On the wall of the south cloister of Westminster Abbey is a tablet to Thomas Jennings or Jenings and his wife Elizabeth. Their daughter Helen (Shrider) is also buried with them.

  In the north choir aisle is a monument to Lord John Thynne, Sub Dean of Westminster. This shows his white marble life sized recumbent effigy.
