‘Capability’ Brown fountain dedicated

Alexander and Scipio Duroure

General Alexander Duroure (or Du Roure) is buried in the east cloister. On the wall nearby is a monument to Alexander and his brother, Scipio.

Maria Teresa Sciaccaluga, a daughter of Bartolomeo Valle, merchant, was buried in the east cloister of Westminster Abbey on 2nd November 1766.

Sackville Whittle, surgeon to King Charles II, was buried in the north cloister. He was born about 1631 and was a son of William Whittle.
