Historian
A memorial stone for historian F.W. Maitland was unveiled in the south transept on 4th January 2001. The stone was cut by Richard Kindersley.

Parry: Songs of farewell & works by Stanford, Gray & Wood
Stanford’s eight-part Latin Magnificat was posthumously dedicated to Parry, whose own Songs of farewell are unmistakably valedictory in mood. Personal as well as musical associations run deep in this poignantly expressive programme, recorded in June 2019 at All Hallows’ Church, Gospel Oak.

Abbey releases A-Z of family activities

Staging a royal coronation at home, making up a secret sign language and navigation games are amongst the new activities being released online by the Abbey to keep families occupied during isolation.

A life sized marble bust of physician Matthew Baillie is in St Andrew's chapel. It is by sculptor Sir Francis Chantrey and is dated 1827.

A white marble bust to theologian and Christian socialist Frederick Denison Maurice stood for many years on the west window sill of St George's chapel.

The ashes of Christian socialist and clergyman Frederic(k) Lewis Donaldson (known as Eric in his family) are buried in the vault of the Islip chapel.

Catherine, Lady Walpole, wife of Sir Robert Walpole, Viscount Walpole and Baron Houghton, has a marble memorial in the south aisle of Henry VII's chapel.

William Boyd Carpenter, Canon of Westminster, is buried in the north cloister. His crest and motto "Per acuta belli" appear on his gravestone.
