Primary self-led visit

If you’d like to visit the Abbey with your class for a self-led tour, you must book.

We offer a specially developed route map and themed trails to help you lead a successful self-led visit.

Please also read our information pack before you visit.

How to book

If you want to book a self-led tour for your class, please email us with the details of your visit:

  • The name of your school.
  • The size of your group.
  • The date of your visit.
  • Your year group.

Group sizes

If you’re bringing a Key Stage 1 class, you’ll need at least one teacher or helper to every five pupils – and for Key Stage 2 classes, at least one teacher or helper to every ten pupils. Large groups of students will need to be split, with the entry times staggered to avoid overcrowding.
