HM The Queen awards Maundy monies to Abbey recipients

Members of the Abbey community have received Maundy monies from Her Majesty The Queen in recognition of their long service to the church.

John Blackborne was buried in the cloisters but the exact location is not known. Richard Blackborne, his brother, was mostly likely buried near John.

Philanthropist
Maurice Pickering was buried in St Margaret's churchyard on 30th June 1604. This is the area now grassed over between this church and Westminster Abbey.

Thomas and John French were servants to Dean Thomas Sprat at Westminster Abbey and are buried in the south cloister.
