Anne was crowned in the Abbey on 23rd April 1702. She is buried with her husband Prince George of Denmark in a vault in the Lady Chapel.

Musician and Composer
On 26th November 1695 Purcell was buried in the north aisle of the choir. This was where the organ stood at this time.

Writer, Poet, Explorer and Soldier
Sir Walter Raleigh, explorer, courtier, writer and poet, is buried in St Margaret's Church. There is a memorial tablet and stained glass window to him.

Soldier
Robert Hauley (Haule or Hawle), a squire, was murdered in Westminster Abbey in 1378. He and fellow squire John Shakel took a hostage.

Francis Beaumont, poet and dramatist, and his brother Sir John Beaumont are both buried in Poets' Corner, at the entrance to St Benedict's chapel.

Robert Stephenson, called the greatest engineer of the nineteenth century, was buried in the centre part of the nave of Westminster Abbey. His stained glass window is nearby.

In the east cloister is a memorial tablet to Bonnell Thornton, author, editor of The Connoisseur. This includes a relief portrait, with books and papers.

James I and Anne of Denmark
James I and Anne of Denmark are both buried in Westminster Abbey. But neither has a monument. Their funeral effigies still remain in the Abbey collection.

Charles' coronation took place on 23rd April 1661. He was buried in the Abbey on 14th February 1685 in a vault in Henry VII's chapel.
