Fraternité Family Fun: Grotesque Gargoyles

Date Time Location Price

Explore the fascinating world of gargoyles, the strange stone faces, dragons and monsters that adorn the outside of Westminster Abbey, then make your own!

High up, on the outside of Westminster Abbey, mysterious faces carved from stone watch over the streets below. Some look like people, others like monsters or dragons.

Gargoyles can be found on churches and other buildings all over the world. Why not join us for a family workshop exploring these mysterious creatures? Go on a gargoyle hunt around the Abbey, hear the dramatic story of La Gargouille, the French dragon who gave gargoyles their name, and make your own gargoyle out of modelling material.
