Mary & Jane Lavie

In the north aisle of St Margaret's church Westminster is a brass commemorating Mary and Jane Lavie. The inscription reads:

"To the Glory of God and in loving and grateful memory of his servants Mary Lavie and Jane Lavie of 32 Queen Anne's Gate Westminster who worshipped many years in this church. When the ear heard them it blessed them and when the eye saw them it gave witness to them. ML died 19th January 1889 aged 87. JL died 13th June 1900 aged 89"

Nearby are three mosaic panels showing Christ with children in the centre and flanking panels of children being brought to Him. Below a brass records "The gift of two sisters A & E L. AD.1893". We do not know the names of these other sisters.
