The Institute

Parliamentary and Institutional Engagement

Drawing on Westminster Abbey’s rich heritage, the Institute works with public service organisations in and around Parliament Square to offer spaces for reflection, dialogue, and renewal.

Our public service seminars offer Members of Parliament, civil servants and others working in the public sphere the opportunity to take a step back from the pressures of public life, to reflect on the ethical and moral challenges encountered by those who serve, and to reconnect with the vocation to public service.

Public service tour

We’re pleased to also invite small groups from public service institutions to participate in our public service themed tour, A Thousand Years of Faith in Public Life, which offers an immersive exploration of unique moments and themes that have shaped public service over the past millennium, and invites reflection on their contemporary relevance.
