Ukraine president lays wreath at Innocent Victims’ Memorial

The President of Ukraine, His Excellency Volodymyr Zelensky, who is on a government visit to the United Kingdom, visited Westminster Abbey on Thursday 8th October.

The President laid a wreath at the Innocent Victims’ Memorial in honour of the victims of oppression and violence.

Prayers were said by the Canon-in-Residence, the Reverend Anthony Ball.

The President and the First Lady, Olena Zelenska, later toured the Abbey with Canon Ball.

At different times of the day, or in different seasons, the light falling in the Abbey will light up something that you have walked past a million times and never seen before.
