Exhibition: Icons for Hope and Faith

Date Time Location Price

For three days only, explore over 100 icons in this exhibition from members of the British Association of Iconographers.

Away from the buzz of the Abbey, discover many different expressions of hope and why they are significant for people of faith in our exclusive exhibition. Underneath the vaulted ceiling of our medieval chamber, explore the enduring impact of these sacred icons. As a focus of prayer and meditation, icons typically depict Jesus, who is the Divine Word, and stories linked to his life as well as his mother Mary, saints and significant religious stories. This biannual exhibition from the British Association of Iconographers brings together icons from both experienced and novice icon writers.
