Spend a summer evening exploring the Abbey after hours and unwind with live music outside.

Make the most of lighter evenings with a special after-hours experience at Westminster Abbey. Begin your visit with a self-guided tour of the Abbey’s most iconic spaces, from the awe-inspiring Lady Chapel to the famous names in Poets’ Corner, before heading outside to the Cloisters for live music and a relaxed summer atmosphere. 

With fewer crowds, you’ll have time to take in the Abbey’s rich history at your own pace. After exploring, step into the fresh air to enjoy a drink from the bar and live performances from musicians curated by Found in Music, all set against the backdrop of centuries-old stonework and open skies. 

Whether you come for the history, the music, or the setting, Summer Evenings at the Abbey is a unique way to see a different side of this historic landmark.

16th July - Zemphy
Zemphy is a London based Singer-songwriter from Norther Ireland. After training as a classical singer and pianist, she branched out to write her own music. She enjoys playing cover sets, taking classic songs and shaking them up with an acoustic jazz twist. 

20th July – Aymee Weir  
Aymee Weir is a singer-songwriter who has honed her craft by busking on the streets of London. She has performed on Radio 1 and collaborated with Radio 1 DJ Mat Edmondson to record ‘Your Car’.  

13th August – Francesco Nasone 
Francesco Nasone is a London based Italian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.  His unique style is a mix of Pop and jazz blended with warm harmonies and swingy grooves. He has one multiple prestigious jazz awards and has performed at venues and festivals across Europe.  

27th August – Charlotte Campbell  
Charlotte's upbeat and chirpy originals and covers of pop classics are a hit with all ages. Often found busking along the river Thames and in London's busiest train stations, Charlotte's street performances have led to sold out shows in London and tours across Europe 

This event is delivered in conjunction with Found in Music’s Busk in London Programme.  Found in Music work with many high-profile clients helping them use music and other forms of live performance to enhance their visitor, customer and employee experience and engagement. Busk in London, created by Found in Music for the Mayor of London in 2015, is the world's largest curated and managed street performance programme. The performers use busking as part of their music careers, bringing a fresh, friendly and high quality performances to a huge variety of locations. 

Tickets

Tickets cost £15 (adult) and £7 (child). 

Timings

Last entry into the Abbey will be at 6:00pm.

Live music will be played between 4:30pm and 5:00pm, and between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. 

Seating will be available in the Cloister Garth from 4:00pm 

Access and security 

Please have your ticket ready to show our staff (either printed or on your mobile phone).

On your arrival, your bag will be searched and we ask you not to bring any large items with you (for example suitcases, large backpacks or folding bicycles) as these will not be allowed inside and we are unable to store them for you.
