William Moore & William Morris

In the chapel of St John the Evangelist at Westminster Abbey is the grave of William Moore and his daughter Anna Maria. The inscription has been re-cut and reads:

Underneath William Moore Esquire, Attorney General Barbadoes Died Oct 6th 1783

He was aged 60. His only daughter was buried on 10th March 1785 aged 31. She was the wife of William Morris, sometime judge of the Court of Admiralty and Receiver General of the Casual Revenue in Barbados. Her infant son and daughter are buried with her (unnamed). William Morris was buried on 23rd February 1796 aged 61 in the same chapel. His second wife was Mary Judith and their children were Anna, Catherine, William and Caroline.
