Thomas, Lord Paget

Thomas, Lord Paget was buried in the "north aisle" of Westminster Abbey on 19th February 1742 (most likely the north choir aisle according to the description in the burial register). He has no monument. His father was Henry Paget, 1st Earl of Uxbridge and his mother Margaret, daughter of Thomas Catesby. In 1718 at Gray's Inn chapel in London he married Lady Elizabeth Egerton, daughter of the Earl of Bridgewater. He was a Colonel in the army, Member of Parliament and Gentleman of the Bedchamber to George II as well as a minor writer. He died aged 53 before his father so his son Henry succeeded as 2nd Earl of Uxbridge (who was known as a miser). His other son was George.
