Thomas Arundell

Thomas Arundell, a member of the House of Commons, was buried in the Quire of Westminster Abbey on 7th November 1648 but he has no gravestone or memorial. He was a son of John Arundell of Trerice in Cornwall and his second wife Gertrude, daughter of Sir Robert Denys or Dennis. His brother John (1576-1654) was an M.P. and member of the Virginia Company. Thomas married Mary, daughter of Sir Gamaliel Capel. His will, as of Daloe in Cornwall, was proved by his eldest son John and also mentions his son Francis and daughter Gertrude (who married Mr Meech and had two daughters).

His will is at The National Archives, Kew, Surrey.
